Let it Snow

It's been snowing in the UK.  From the news headlines you'd think the end of the world was coming.  In one broadcast it was referred to as snow-mageddon.  Schools have closed, trains have stopped running and people are panic buying in the supermarket.  Really folks, it's just SNOW!!!

Now these poor birds were not happy.   I wouldn't have thought I could distinguish the moods of water fowl but it felt like there was some major regret going on at not migrating south for the winter. I felt they needed blankets and hot water bottles in their nests.Or maybe some cosy socks to keep their feet out the snow.

This is Sandra the snowlady, she's very petite with raisin eyes, cranberry mouth and dries pineapple buttons.  I could almost eat her up.

This is surely the only time a seagull is camouflaged in the grass.

Keep warm and have a lovely weekend,

  4. So adorable! I guess when we aren't used to snow it can cause a bit of a panic. I live in northwest Florida, USA and we rarely get snow and when we do it is more of a slushy mess...but good gracious we act as if it is a winter wonderland :-)

    1. Thanks Tif,
I have to say that the novelty of the snow has worn off now it's gone grey and slushy. Ewww, cold, wet and slippy is not a good combo.
